Bob Hutchins lived and worked in western Washington for 35 years. While camping with his wife and two sons he discovered the Methow Valley, an area with four seasons and natural beauty similar to the Adirondacks where he grew up.  Bob graduated from Marquette University and attended the Columbus College of Art and Design and the Milwaukee School of Art. He held career positions in publishing, advertising and communications.

Artist Statement

“My paintings reflect my lifelong love of the outdoors and passion for doing things that inspire and challenge me. I’ve always enjoyed the effort and discipline required to achieve my goals.  Throughout my many creative and athletic pursuits I’ve learned that “talent” comes from working hard in a consistent direction.  I’m now driven to be a good painter and try to grow my knowledge and skills at every opportunity. Most of my work is painted on site and completed in one session.”
